Race Date: Sat. Oct. 13, 2012
Registration & Opening Remarks: 8am-9am
Race Start Time: 9am
Race End Time: 4pm
Prizes & Closing Remarks: 4pm-5pm
Teams: 2 people per team
Minimum age: 16 years old (and each team must have one member that is 18 years old+)
The Amazing Race - Springfield Sports Club Edition will closely follow The Amazing Race TV show as much as possible. We'll have pit-stops with various physically challenging activities and/or healthy living challenges, road blocks, and a "flight." It will not however, be an elimination type race. All teams can finish the race until the end time (4pm).
The race will include both indoor and outdoor pit-stops. The race will happen regardless of weather. Please dress appropriately for the weather. Speaking of dress. . .we really want to see your style and team spirit! Get creative and make your team stand out.
The prize pot is at approximately $1000 and counting! Cash prizes will be awarded to the top 3 teams. Additional prizes for categories such as "youngest team," "oldest team," and/or "best dressed team" etc. will also be awarded.
